The following were formally approved at a meeting of CYM's
World Executive in Kyiv in November, 2005, for the year 2006.
- The Svitova Uprava directs vykhovnyky to design their programs for 2006 placing the
main emphasis on current events in Ukraine.
- In 2006 we commemorate::
- 15th Anniversary of Ukraine's Independence
- 20th Anniversary of the Chornobyl Tragedy
- 150th Anniversary of the birth of Ivan Franko
- 60th Anniversary of the rebirth of CYM in the Diaspora
- 60th Anniversary of CYM in Germany
Additional commemorative dates which the Svitova Uprava recommends vykhovnyky include in their educational programs:
- 10th Anniversary of Ukraine's Constitution
- 20th Anniversary of the death of Yaroslav Stetsko
- 80th Anniversary of the assasination os Symon Petliura
