12 June 2004 marked CYM's West Region Rally -. The opening ceremony and religious part of the proceedings began at noon at the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Manchester. Fr. Y. Riy from Manchester and Fr. B. Matviychuk conducted the service. All branches of the region attended including Manchester, Ashton, Bolton, Rochdale and Stockport.
Petro Rewko from Ashton took on the role of master of ceremonies. After the service Luba Lawrence delivered the official address and Genia Mandzij, as representative of the National CYM committee, welcomed everybody to the event and also addressed the rally.
She also took the opportunity to distribute badges for awards acheived by members of the Manchester branch.
Then came the parade in front of the VIPs and invited guests.
Finally the photographs taken to record the occasion. Each branch taking part were photographed and one big regional photo was taken.
The break for lunch also gave everybody a chance to chat and catch up with friends they may not have seen for a long time.
